Jake Coyle

Co-Founder

Jake Coyle is a powerhouse in the world of personal training and co-founder of Todd Smith Fitness AZ. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise & Wellness with a minor in Nutrition from Arizona State University. Beyond the degree, Jake brings hands-on expertise backed by certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Precision Nutrition Coach.

With over 15 years of experience, Jake’s passion for health and fitness was shaped by personal experiences watching loved ones struggle with mental health and addiction. That drive fuels his mission to help others transform their lives through movement, structure, and purpose. Jake was mentored by Todd Smith himself, embracing TSF’s holistic approach to training and wellness. His specialties lie in biomechanics and mind-muscle connection, ensuring that every session is safe, intentional, and results-driven. With Jake, it’s not just about working out, it’s about building a stronger, more capable version of you.

Barrick

Barrick Berkman

Head of Operations

A driving force in the fitness industry and here at TSF, Barrick serves as the second-in-command and operational engine of Todd Smith Fitness. He works both on and off the training floor to uphold the brand’s elite standards and execute its vision with precision.

As Head of Operations, he ensures seamless execution while guiding long-term performance, culture, and client success.
With over a decade of coaching and personal training experience, Barrick brings deep expertise, discipline, and leadership to both the floor and the business. Holding more than five nationally accredited certifications and shaped by mentorships with national champion-level natural bodybuilders and body composition experts, he blends scientific literature with hands-on experience to deliver proven, results-driven programs.
Barrick’s specialty lies in creating a kind of kinetic poetry—developing strength, hypertrophy, and bone density—especially for clients managing chronic shoulder, knee, and back pain. His methods emphasize connective tissue health, hypertrophy, and longevity, all while integrating mental fortitude for sustainable transformation.
Whether optimizing or creating systems behind the scenes or elevating individuals on the floor, Barrick’s impact is foundational, and his presence embodies the professionalism, precision, and high-performance culture that define Todd Smith Fitness.

Tevin Jones

Head Trainer & Programming Director

Tevin leads TSF’s training systems with over 10 years of experience and a B.S. in Exercise & Wellness from ASU. Certified by the NSCA as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, he excels in designing programs for athletes, clients with neurological conditions, and those in post-surgical recovery.

After recovering from injury himself, Tevin developed a passion for corrective exercise and holistic wellness. His deep knowledge in physiology, metabolic conditioning, and periodized program design helps every client move better, feel stronger, and live more fully.

Jose Ramos

Recovery Manager

Jose brings a unique edge to TSF through his background in martial arts and functional movement. Certified by NASM and specializing as a Multi-Directional Movement Coach and Steel Mace Flow Instructor, he emphasizes the mind-body connection in every session.

Jose’s training style supports joint health, mobility, and resilience. Whether leading mobility work or guiding clients through advanced recovery methods, his goal is not just physical transformation—but a grounded, empowered mindset.

McKenna

McKenna Daley

Personal Trainer & Member Experience Manager

Meet McKenna, a NASM-certified trainer with a degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition from Grand Canyon University. A former Division II college softball athlete, she brings a strong blend of academic knowledge and real-world athletic experience to the TSF team.

As our Member Experience Manager, McKenna plays a key role in creating a welcoming, community-driven environment. From organizing events to ensuring every client feels seen, supported, and celebrated, she leads the charge in making TSF feel like home. Her passion lies in delivering fun, effective training sessions and meaningful member connections that elevate the full fitness experience.

Cadence Vance

Personal Trainer

Cadence is a certified NASM trainer and GCU graduate with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition. A former competitive softball player, she blends athletic grit with a passion for strength training and member empowerment.

From mastering the Nordic curl to leading small group sessions, Cadence brings expertise, enthusiasm, and personal attention to help you unlock new milestones and sustainable results.

Nate Mueller

Personal Trainer & Weekend Operations Manager

Nate balances brains and brawn—literally. With a degree in Biological Science from ASU and a 13-year career in accounting, he brings a unique mix of analytical thinking and grounded leadership to TSF. A former TSF client turned NASM-certified trainer, Nate understands the member experience inside and out.

As our Weekend Operations Manager, Nate ensures every Saturday and Sunday run with the same high standard as the rest of the week. Whether he’s coaching clients, solving problems, or optimizing the gym floor, he’s a calm, consistent presence and a trusted leader on the team. His mission? Helping people feel strong, capable, and completely at home in the gym.

Dr. Matthew Brown

Doctor & Owner, Corrective Physical Therapy

Dr. Matt Brown leads Corrective Physical Therapy with a focus on fixing pain at its root, not just managing it. He specializes in treating former athletes and active individuals, empowering them to regain strength, reduce pain, and stay in the game.

With a results-first approach to 1-on-1 treatment, Dr. Brown works alongside TSF members to help them take control of their health and live pain-free.

DR. MADISON HERMAN

Pelvic Floor & Sports Physical Therapist

Dr. Madison Herman is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a specialized focus in women’s pelvic health and orthopedic rehab. Originally from Pennsylvania, she earned her B.S. in Health Science with a minor in Nutrition from the University of South Florida, and her DPT from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

With advanced training through Herman & Wallace and ICE Physio, Madison has treated everyone from pro athletes to postpartum moms. Her specialties include post-op ACL, shoulder and hip pain, hypermobility, pelvic pain, pregnancy/postpartum care, and c-section recovery. Passionate, skilled, and down-to-earth, she’s a trusted advocate for long-term recovery and whole-body wellness.

Dr. Katie Branch is a naturopathic physician specializing in in-depth health diagnostics, advanced hormone testing, and comprehensive lab work.

Through her partnership with TSF, members gain access to personalized, data-driven insights that go far beyond traditional checkups—empowering them to reach long-term fitness and wellness goals.
